Conscious Educational Establishments

Commit to one action that brings hope for the future. Every action matters. Every choice creates ripples.

For educational establishments, Conscious Day is a chance to plant seeds of awareness, empower students as changemakers, and create a culture of conscious living and learning.

What can educational establishments do on Conscious Day?

Pause the Timetable

Dedicate part of the day to reflection and conversation instead of standard lessons.

Encourage students and staff to stop, breathe, and think consciously about how they live, learn, and work.

Student-Led Projects

Invite pupils or students to design their own Conscious Day activities – from campaigns on sustainability to wellbeing initiatives.

Give them ownership so the message feels alive, not imposed.

Workshops & Assemblies

Host talks on themes like conscious leadership, sustainability, resilience, or purposeful careers.

Bring in local entrepreneurs, charities, or role models to inspire action.

Rethink Celebrations

Use proms, graduations, and award ceremonies as a chance to model how celebrations can be joyful, inclusive, and meaningful without being excessive.

Showcase conscious catering, decorations, and entertainment.

Conscious Pledges

Encourage every class, tutor group, or year group to make one conscious pledge – big or small – and display them across the campus.

For example: “We pledge to reduce food waste in our canteen,” or “We pledge to check in on each other’s well-being.”

Connect Learning to Action

Tie lessons to Conscious Day themes:

Science → climate, regeneration, innovation.

Business → ethical entrepreneurship.

English/Arts → storytelling for change.

Social Studies → global conscious movements.

Community Involvement

Partner with local groups, charities, or businesses to host joint Conscious Day events.

Position the school or university as a hub of conscious thinking for the wider community.

Love

Love is passed on through learning. Schools, colleges, and universities can use Conscious Day to cultivate love for knowledge, for each other, and for the planet.

Ask: How can we teach and model love as a foundation for conscious living and leadership?
